₹414-crore Baikampady–KIOCL elevated corridor enters tender stage
The NH-66 package includes a 1.52-km six-lane elevated flyover and service roads serving port and industrial traffic.

A major NH-66 capacity project serving the New Mangalore Port corridor has moved into the tender process. The approved package is valued at ₹414.16 crore and covers the Baikampady–KIOCL Junction stretch.
The plan includes a 1.520-km six-lane elevated flyover within a 3.075-km road-development stretch, together with 5.825 km of service roads on both sides. The project is proposed under the EPC model, while the New Mangalore Port Authority is expected to support additional land and financing requirements.
The corridor is strategically important because it carries a mix of port-linked freight, industrial traffic and local vehicles. Grade separation and service roads could improve traffic segregation, safety and travel reliability if the project is executed as planned.
